This is a pro-active approach to slowing the progression of parkinson's. The goal is to help anticipate, delay and prevent symptoms.

Working with others with PD offers individual attention in the setting of a small compassionate group. Caregivers are welcome to participate as space permits.

Jan Tanis is certified as a personal trainer by ACE, American Council on Exercise. Her interest in Parkinson's began with family involvement and has become a passion to improve life with the disease through exercise.

Parkinson'sFit is an integrated program originally based upon "The John Argue Method". It has grown to incorporate functional strength and balance work as well as the "Unpredictable Command Technique" developed by David Ogden, P. T. This comprehensive approach has shown proven results in daily living skills, improved muscular control and body awareness, and enhanced mental concentration.
